How to become a SLEP Member


Dear friends of SLEP,

SLEP invites all health professionals (physicians, biochemists, biologists, etc.) who have demonstrated active work and continue to be active in the field of Paediatric Endocrinology in broad terms, including Diabetes and Metabolism, and who are interested in this area, to join.

The Membership Committee (members@slep-endocrino.com) will evaluate the applicant's qualifications and provide feedback within three periods during the year. Final acceptance takes place during the Annual Members' Meeting.


To become a member, the applicant must submit an application for membership, supported by a letter of recommendation from an Active Member of the Society and meet at least one of the following requirements:

  1. Hold a specialist degree (board certification) in Pediatric Endocrinology, Endocrinology, or Endocrine Biochemistry. If there is no specialist degree, the applicant must demonstrate experience in the field of Pediatric Endocrinology, Endocrinology, or Endocrine Biochemistry.
  2. Hold a doctorate, master's degree, or an equivalent qualification in areas related to Pediatric Endocrinology.
  3. Have published at least one paper related to Pediatric Endocrinology in an international peer-reviewed indexed journal as the main author or co-author.


Professionals from Latin American countries who are undergoing training, education, or specialization in the field of pediatric endocrinology or related disciplines may become Trainee Members.

  1. They must submit an admission request supported by a letter of recommendation from an Active Member of the Society.
  2. They must certify their status as a “trainee,” for example, by attaching a certificate issued by the head of the department where they are completing their residency, the director of the postgraduate program, or the supervisor of their master's or doctoral thesis. A minimum of one year of training will be required before joining the Society.
  3. Admission must be approved by the Board and endorsed by the majority (50% plus one) of the members present at the Society Assembly.


SLEP Membership Application Form

    1. Hold a specialist degree in Pediatric Endocrinology, Endocrinology, or Endocrine Biochemistry. If there is no specialist degree, demonstrate experience in the field of Endocrine Biochemistry or Pediatric Endocrinology.

    2. Hold a doctorate or master's degree in areas related to Pediatric Endocrinology.

    3. Have published at least one article on Pediatric Endocrinology in an international peer-reviewed indexed journal as the main author or co-author.
