Welcome to the Summer School 2025


The next edition of the Summer School 2025, organized by the Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (SLEP) in collaboration with the Human Growth Foundation, will take place from August 3 to 6, 2025, in Panama City. Registration to participate will open soon, and in the coming days, we will confirm further details about the objectives, format, speakers, and program.

Selection Criteria

Submission deadline: From May 5th to June 18th

To promote the development of future leaders in Pediatric Endocrinology throughout the region, participants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • 10 applicants will be selected strictly in order of merit (based on CV analysis).
  • 3 applicants from countries not represented in the previous group (based on CV analysis).
  • 2 applicants who are non-medical health professionals working in pediatric endocrinology.

The SLEP Summer School offers intensive theoretical and practical training for young professionals in pediatric endocrinology, aimed at enhancing their development in SLEP countries.

It is an intensive four-day course featuring lectures by experts on various topics in pediatric clinical endocrinology, along with clinical case presentations and discussions by selected participants.

The Summer School fosters strong interaction between young professionals and experts. All activities will be conducted in English as the official language.

Important Information Dates: The Summer School 2025

  • The Summer School will be held in Quito, Ecuador, from October 26–28, 2026.
  • Support: The event is fully supported by SLEP and HGF.
    • Flight tickets to and from Ecuador, ground transportation, accommodations, and meals during the SLEP Summer School will be provided free of charge to selected participants.
    • Free registration to the SLEP 2026 Meeting will also be offered.
  • Participant Requirements:
    • Prepare and present a clinical case under the mentorship of a designated tutor.
    • Please upload a 2-minute video introducing yourself. In the video, indicate whether you are currently a resident and specify which year, where you are training, or whether you have already completed your residency and when. Please also mention your country and explain your motivation for participating in the Summer School.

Application Requirements

To apply for a fellowship and participate in the SLEP Summer School, you must:

  1. Be a professional in Pediatric Endocrinology based in Latin America.
  2. Be no older than 40 years as of December 31, 2026.
  3. Not have participated in a previous Summer School.
  4. Submit the registration form for the Summer School 2026 by June 18.
  5. Be fluent in written and spoken English.
